Carlton is Lowest

This is a cigarette ad from the back of the Playbill for the play Annie. (Playbill is the magazine you get when you go to a Broadway Play).

This must be from 1977 or so, which is interesting because this company was advertising that it had lower tar than the others on the market, obviously trying to make their product seem healthier than the industry in general.

  1. cigarettes suck. my FIL died at age 71 from lung cancer; he was a 3 pack a day smoker. when he finally gave it up, it was too late, the damage had already been done. he smoked marlboro.

  2. Ah, a "healthy" cigarette?
Never happening. As someone who has lost an aunt, a mother and a sister to lung cancer, I an so anti-smoking that I may drive folks crazy.
    And I don't care.
